Project Description
Pedelta has been retained by PHB (Promotora Hospital de Bosa) to develop geotechnical studies and detailed structural design for the new health care facility in Bosa, Colombia. The project consists of 4 different multistory buildings for a total 355,000 sq ft of which the main one (UMHES) is a 7 floors building. The project includes an auditorium with a roof slab spanning up to 24 meters. The new health-care facility will provide health-care services to a population of 400,000 individuals living in the southeast district of Bogotà.

Design/Construction Approach

Since the early stages of the project Pedelta provided engineering services supporting the general contractor during the Design-Build proposals eventually awarded to the team PHB + Pedelta .

Pedelta engineering services consist of a feasibility study, concept design, structural detailed design and seismic design. A reinforced cast in place post-tensioned concrete structure is currently under design together with special deep foundation system designed accordingly to the site geological conditions and local seismic code requirements. PEDELTA design team with the collaboration of TASH architectural firm is developing overall design in compliance with LEED environmental regulations and standards.
