Pipiral Bridge is part of the Bogota to Villavicencio road that crosses Los Andes mountains. The road is a PPP contract to increase the road capacity by duplicating the number of lanes. Pedelta was responsible for the conceptual and for the detailed design of the 710 m length bridge. The bridge has three approach spans of 45+50+45 m and the main section with spans 75+140+140+140+75 m with a box girder cross section built by balanced cantilever.

As the road goes through a mountainous area, the piers have different heights, from 64 m the tallest to 8 m the shortest. Seismic devices were placed at some of the piers to reduce the possible seismic actions to the bridge.

The bridge completion is expected by the end of 2019.
