Widening of a concrete arch bridge over the Llobregat River in Cabrianes

Bridge construction achieved a critical milestone with the demolition of the deck and reinforcement of the foundations. The 3-span concrete bridge platform is widened from 6.6 to 12.15 m keeping the arches and substructure. Pedelta’s design approach is aligned with sustainability strategies by extending the life of the existing bridge, accommodating paths for active transportation and considering aesthetics as an integral part of the design.
