Project Description

Pedelta participated in the design and construction of the third drinking water tank on the Torre Pinos hill, in the municipality of Granollers, north of Barcelona. The tank is fed by a pipeline coming from the River Ter basin and serves to regulate the drinking water distribution network in the area. The volume of the tank is 17600 m3. The structure is designed with a continuous concrete bottom slab and a precast roof consisting of prestressed concrete panels and prestressed precast beams.

The project also included the replacement of a 200 m long pumping pipe with a diameter of 700 mm, the construction of 240 m long outlets for the three tanks with ribbed polyethylene pipes and the connection of the new water tank to the pipeline network at two bifurcation points. Pedelta oversaw the works on site.
